Day 68 ~ One Year, One Nose

Antique Oil of Rectified Cassia, c. 1900, Fritzsche Bros.

Very piercing quality to this oil, and oddly, for its advanced age, fresh smelling. It almost has a perfumey quality to it all on its own. Warm and heavenly with a rounded sweetness, like cinnamon toast or hot chocolate with cinnamon sprinkled on top. There are none of those 'red hots' quality of peakiness in this old cassia, it's all smooth, sweet warmth, like breath on your neck sending shivers down your spine.
