Murphys

Isn't this just the sweetest little building? Made almost entirely of stone.

It currently houses a cowboy store, y'know, saddles, tack, fringed leather jackets, sequined cowboy jackets a la Porter Wagner.

There's a huge metal fountain out front ~ d'you see it? Looks lethal.

  1. Lethal?? Dpends on what you put in that fountain. Some Giorgio and I will be inclined to agree, but some xxx perfume by the Apothecary? It would be dreamy:-D

  2. Just went back to this old tack shop and found that it is going to be the new wine-tasting room for Lavender Ridge winery -- woo hoo! Also finally went a-wining in Murphys. Gads, was that ever fun. Was instructed on the proper way to wine taste from a very friendly gentleman at Zucca Mountain Vineyards. Their tasting room is in a cave like basement room under a stretch of buildings -- it would make a fabulous perfume presentation room. Purchased a bottle of Tesoro from Zucca -- a nice red table wine, then went on to visit the Milliaire tasting room , which is housed in an old 40's style service station, and 'tasted' their wares, then bought a bottle of their Clockspring port -- delicious! Because it was a Tuesday when we went, most of the wineries were closed. Next time, I'm going on a Saturday -- ha!
